You can purchase either a whole whisky cask, a stave (the equivalent of a 700ml bottle of whisky still aging in the cask) or a 700ml fully matured bottle of whisky.
What’s unique about WX500 is that you can purchase whisky before it matures or appreciates in price. Your ownership is secured through a non-fungible token (NFT), which represents the asset you own. You can hold the asset as a stave or cask and when you are ready to sell, you can trade it on WX500. When the cask or stave matures, you must redeem it as a cask or fully matured bottles of whisky bottles.
